Paperback Book. There is a small amount of "water stain" on the back cover and inside back cover (SEE PICS) that does not effect the rest of the book nor the binding. The binding is tight. Book is a great history of the area, with maps and other photographs throughout. The Author is a well known TRAVEL author and considered an expert in the field. This is a great overall book, with a great rating among book reviews.
