Details

Fostoria Glass Company was an American manufacturer of glassware, founded in 1887 in Fostoria, Ohio, and later moved to Moundsville, West Virginia. They were renowned for their high-quality pressed and blown glassware, including elegant tableware, decorative items, and colored glass. The company operated until 1986, leaving behind a rich legacy of collectible American glass.

The 'Coin Glass' pattern, introduced by Fostoria in 1950, is one of their most iconic designs. It features embossed coin-like motifs within circular panels, often surrounded by a hobnail border. This pattern was produced in various colors, with amber being a popular and sought-after choice among collectors, often referred to as 'Wedding Coin' due to its association with bridal gifts.
